CFUW Kelowna hosts various speakers to attend the monthly meetings

The Creative Excellence of Okanagan Artists by Patricia Ainsley.

Patricia Ainslie was born in England, and raised in South Africa.  She settled in Calgary where she was Curator or Art and later Vice President of Collections at Glenbow Museum.  Since leaving Glenbow in 2006, she has worked as an independent curator and writer.  She co-authored “Alberta  Art and Artists” published by Fifth House, Calgary in 2007.  In 2010 she completed a 40-year retrospective exhibition and catalogue “Surreal, Real, Ideal:  The Paintings of Joice M. Hall” for the Kelowna Art Gallery.

Patricia launched her 2008 page, fully illustrated new book “Okanagan Artists in their studios” at UBCO on Thursday, Sept 5th of this year.  She will have copies of her book available for sale at the meeting .  Price $ 50.00.
